Ryan & Sally: Married! {Los Angeles Wedding Photographer}
Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 8:03PM Last month I had the pleasure of second shooting with Brian Khang. It was my first time shooting a traditional Chinese wedding and I loved it! Between the tea ceremony and reception, we had 4 hours (yes, you read that correctly) to shoot portraits. Having such a long period of time allowed us to visit several different locations in the area including the San Gabriel Mission and the Los Angeles Arboretum...it was awesome! That may explain why there are SO many pictures in this post...Enjoy!

The bridesmaids planned several traditional door games for the groom. I learned that the door games give the groom an opportunity to prove his love for the bride and essentially earn (and ultimately buy) his way inside to get his bride. It's all in good fun AND it gives the bridesmaids an opportunity to embarrass the groom a bit :-)
Ryan's tasks included jump-roping...

Hula-hooping in a grass skirt...

Singing to Sally...(picture on the right: the groomsmen came to the rescue after Ryan forgot the words!)

Signing a contract...

And, finally, offering the bridesmaids a little cash incentive!

As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, we had several hours to take portraits...let the photoshoot begin!

I'll end with a few of the details from the reception...

Be sure to check out Brian's blog for more pictures!
